As part of the Government's Terrestrial and Freshwater Biodiversity Information System (TFBIS) Programme, the Department of Conservation has implemented a National Enterprise Geographic Information System (NEGIS) in order to manage the Department's core national geospatial information. Terrestrial and Freshwater Biodiversity Information managed in the Department's biodiversity and geospatial databases is integrated and available for viewing, along with other DOC National geospatial information. DOCgis is the Internet Mapping Application of the DOC National Enterprise GIS.
